Lower Elementary guide, Patti Osborne, announced Sunday, February 18th that for the second year in a row the Mata DI (Destination Imagination) team that she coached called “Da Awesome Bombs” advanced to the State competition on April 6th! The team ranked 1st out of 33 other Elementary teams in their division! Way to go!
Be a part of Mata Library’s new holiday tradition. In the community spirit this time of year, and to celebrate the joy reading brings into all parts of our lives, we will be decorating our library tree with literary character ornaments.
We invite Mata families and friends to choose a holiday ornament of a literary (book) character to donate to the library. Each donated ornament will be adorned with a special tag showing the child or family who donated, and the year it was given. Your character ornament will be hung from our library tree for years to come. Be a part of all of Mata’s future holidays!
If you prefer to make a monetary donation towards an ornament, please send cash in an envelope to the front office (marked with both student and teacher name). A receipt and a note informing you of the ornament your donation helped purchase will be returned to you.
For more information, please contact Ms. Thompson.
